Staff Apple Mac computer replacement
The provision or replacement of staff Apple Mac computers must comply with University policy ie.
- Apple computers will not be approved for administrative use by professional staff.
- Apple computers will only be approved:
- for research purposes where the purchase is funded entirely from external research funds;
- where staff teach in disciplines where the use of the Mac platform is considered to be industry standards, such as the Music and Visual Design industries (currently limited to certain SASS degrees).
Staff seeking an Apple Mac computer should email the SCU Service Desk servicedesk@scu.edu.au with the following information.
- Name and contact details of the requester (email and telephone number).
- Campus, building and room number.
- Funding source.
- A business case for the requirement for an Apple Mac, along with approval from the Head of School or Director.
- If there is a requirement for a different configuration from the SCU standard below, please provide the business case for the proposed additional expenditure.
